Patagonia’s Chilkoot is a compact herdsire with long staple length, fine fleece, and bright, luscious fiber. He has a beautiful head and compact body. In 2014, Chilkoot was assessed by Senior Judge, Amanda VandenBosch as an “A-“. He has consistency in micron as well as in color, large bones, and a gentle temperament.

Chilkoot’s sire is Patagonia’s Lennox, the ultimate Multi-Champion herdsire. His dam, Patagonia’s Augusta, is a top-line production dam on our ranch. Augusta is a 3x Color Champion and received Reserve Champion at AOBA. Augusta also won 6 blues ribbons in her show career (one being at The Futurity).

Chilkoot's Progeny are Champs!
Chilkoot’s crias started hitting the ground in 2015, and bringing home Blue Ribbons in 2016! We are especially excited about one of Chilkoot’s oldest sons, Estates Sakima, a true black 5x champion and numerous blue ribbon winner who has been instrumental on our 2016-2018 black show strings. Daughter, Mauna Lani won the Color Championship at the California Classic along with several blues on our 2018 show string! True black son, Akiak is also a multiple blue ribbon winner!

Legendary Champion Producer!

Patagonia’s Lennox is one of the Greats!  As assessed by senior judge Amanda VandenBosch, Lennox (born in 2002) was an “A” quality herdsire in 2014.  He has lingering fineness, bright, dense fleece, with a long staple length, typey head and compact body.  His shiny brown fleece shimmers in the sunlight even to this day.  Lennox made a mark for not only himself, but for Alpacas de le Patagonia, siring a multitude of quality offspring including champions and many progeny that are currently top breeding herdsires and foundation producing dams.  His show wins are numerous with Color Championships, Get of Sire, and Blues.  In addition, his offspring have received multitudes of banners and ribbons. Lennox has produced black, brown, fawn, white and grey offspring.  Patagonia’s Lennox had a skin biopsy of Density: 83.25 SQ MM (Rates in the top 0.5 % of all alpacas tested by Dr. Evans) S/P Ratio: 10.8 to 1.  Histogram: 20.2afd/4.1sd/20.0cv/1.6%>30 (taken at 2 years of age)
Lennox's outstanding achievements are too numerous to list.
Included in his impressive accomplishments, are 9x Color Champion/Reserve Champion awards.
In addition, Lennox has received an amazing 14 Get of Sire Ribbons (and counting)! His influence will long be felt in our herd!

Lennox's crias are spectacular. Their fleeces are fine and tend to exhibit a high frequency and uniform crimp throughout their blankets.

Patagonia’s Ernesto is a magnificent light brown compact herdsire that improves every dam to her fullest potential. Before I purchased Ernesto, I bred numerous females to this dynamic male just to see what he could do. I discovered that I could take an average dam, breed her to Ernesto, and voila, come out with a stunning offspring. This feat was proven when we had hundreds of the females assessed with their juvenile crias. Time and time again, the cria scored better than the dam so I knew I had something special going on with this male and one way to obtain improvement in the production of our breeding program.
In many ways, Patagonia’s Ernesto has surpassed his one of a kind sire, Patagonia’s Lennox.
Ernesto’s Show Record shows for itself:
Ernesto's first crias hit the show ring in 2012 and continue to perform!  Here is just a sample of his award winning progeny...

This proud male's genetics includes sire, Patagonia's Ernesto, receiving a Judge's Choice GWAS 2010, 8x Championships, numerous first place ribbons, and First Place Get of Sire competing against offspring of lights and white while his offspring were black and brown. Ernesto was appraised at the age of seven, by a senior judge, with the attributes of an A - animal. His offspring have made Patagonia's Ernesto proud as Banner Winners with several Color Championships.

Aztec's grandsire is the famous herdsire, Patagonia's Lennox. Four of his sons are standing at stud at our ranch alone. Lennox is a 7x Champion with at least 13 Blue Ribbons, including Huacaya Get of Sire. At a handsome fourteen years old, he has maintained his fineness as well as long staple length.

Aztec's dam, Patagonia's Acapella, also assessed in 2015 as an outstanding A- quality female. Acapella earned ribbons in both fleece and halter competition over a decade ago thus maintaining fineness and density at her current age.

Showing as a juvenile in 2016, Aztec ribboned in four spring shows from the Carolina Alpaca Celebration, AOA Nationals, CABA, to First Place in the California Classic. Aztec's fleece has a wonderful handle. It is very dense, yet possesses a soft, fine, fleece that is uniform in color as well as in micron. Patagonia Estates Aztec 's conformation and bite are phenomenal. You will want to check out this amazing Jr. Herdsire.
